Hey! I know its been a long time since I have been updating .....but I'm still here... I have to admit...i could not do the 17 day diet..it was to hard for me.....and the bodybugg got sent back...because it was not working properly....it was not syncing up with my phone....sooo...i decided to give ONLINE weight watcher s a shot, and the ONLINE only. i keep track of my points through their website...and I also have joined a few blogs that have recipes that people post with low points and yummy food.
I am also working out every morning (starting working out this week) and I must say...the weight def. comes off alot fast when you work out. (I am pretty lazy, so me working out for days everyday, and sticking to it...is a BIG deal for me. LOL) ANyways....I run on the treadmill for 30 min ( I am trying to work my way up to a 5k (3.2 miles)in 30 min. So far, I am at 2.2 miles in 30 minutes. After I get my run in, I life weights, then do 100 crunches. THats all... so it ususally takes me 45 minutes to work out total.
ANyways....here is my morning weight in picture....
I was VERY VERY happy to see the 1 at the beginning of it! I have not been in ONEderland in a really looong time! YAAAAY! I have 45 more lbs to go! Anyways...I'll update later....

Still hanging strong!!.....
Let me update ya with that has been going on with me! Lets see, I am still eating very healthy and keeping sugar out of my diet and NO processed foods. I am not really following the 17 day diet to a T..I am def. stepping out on the that specific diet. I am having milk a few times a week (Fat free, skim organic) and a few days outta the week, I am having low cal bread (35 calories and slice) But I am def. keeping up with my veggies and fruits, a sorta on meats. (more TUNA and Turkey than anything)
Let me tell you about my relationship with sugar now. So..yesterday..I was making a sweet item (cake pops) for my sisters baby shower, and the smell..just lingered me in....I was just drooling over it as I was making it. After I made the pops, I wanted to try one, before I started decorating them, I wanted to make sure they tasted good! That one bite alone, about made me get sick! It was soooo sweet! TOO sweet actually (i never thought I would say that!) As I was decorating them, (which took a lil over an hour may I add) I felt nauseous. That sweet smell of bakes goods that once made me drool, made me want to vomit! My stomach was def. turning the rest of the time dealing with these cake pops! That was a shocker to me.....yet very satisfying at the same time!! GO ME!!! "Hello, I am Christy, and I am NO LONGER a SUGAR ADDICT!"
About my workout! I started getting up at least every other day, to work out, rather it be running on the treadmill for 25 minutes, then lifting weights, or doing Insanity workout (beachbody) Yesterday, I worked out with Sean T from Insanity! I took the fitness test that he wants you to take at the beginning and at the end of each 30 days. WOW! I must tell ya....that fitness test alone about killed me! but, I def. felt like it was a great cadio workout! That's what I like to feel at the end of my workout! I wanna be sweating! Today, I am very sore, so I will take it easy...maybe play on the wii (just dance 2) with my son.
BTW, when I woke up this morning, I decided to weight myself (cause I do not FEEL like I have lost weight, and nor do I think I look like I have, which in many ways can be disappointing... but I am determined to stay on track! To my surprised when I stepped on the scale, it read that I was down by 2 lbs! I was super excited. 7 more lbs and I am out of the 2 HUNDO!! WHOO HOOOO!!!!!
Something that I am learning on this weight loss journey is "You have to do what works for YOU!" You know, at first when I started this, I thought..."I am going to follow this book to a T (the 17 day diet) and I will lose all my weight.", But it was torturous to me! Many items that I LOVE that are NOT bad for me, I was not able to eat. (i hated that) and with dieting...you have to make it a journey to a healthy YOU that YOU will stick to, because IT IS a LIFE STYLE change. I can't eat a certain way or a few months...lose my weight, then go back to eating how I was before and think that I am going to stay thin, because eating UNHEALTHY is what has gotten me to this point. It goes the same with working out. Being that I am a stay at home mom, I do not get as much as exercise as I should, so I need to do SOMETHING to get me moving, and I won't Do that SOMETHING unless its something that I enjoy doing, or even feel like I could handle. So, I am slowly finding that SOMETHING that is working for me, and it makes me pretty damn HAPPY! TGIF everybody! Have a great weekend!!

my 17 days are over.....
Sorry its been awhile since I have updates my blog! No, I have no fallen off the ban wagon...don't worry.....Okay, I have completed my 17 days....plus some....I weighted myself on the 17th and it was only 1 pound lower than the week before :( I was def. hoping for alot more! I have come to terms that losing weight is not just changing calorie intake...its getting up moving about as well. The weather has been cold...and I have been wanting to stay in my jammies all day and hang out with the kids!
I got my bodybugg in...I have to say..its pretty cool..but sooo annoying!!!! I bought the most expensive one..that just came out (bodybugg SP) and its suppose to sync up with the smart phone...but the thing is..putting calories into my account....is NOT easy...and take forever!! and then...alot of the stuff that I input never shows up! I am trying to decide if I am going to send it back or not, and get the cheaper one that keeps track of of just calories burned and not all the other stuff. I must say..I am highly disappointed in the program! I am going to give it a week longer..and see what I think about it....see if there are going to be any improvements or not.
Okay...so let me tell ya about my "work out" lol So i decided...(esp after watching many youtube videos of peoples results with p90x) that I was going to try it (since we already have it((my hubby uses it)) that I would give it a shot. LMAO! What a joke I was! I am sooo outta shape..that I looked pathetic!
OKay, so the main thing with p90x is the door way pull up bar. (we have the bar) I tried putting it in the door way, hanging on it...to pull myself up...and I thought I was going to break frame off my door! As I was standing there attempting to pull myself up (which was NOT happening) the frame was making this horrible cracking noise!!! Just what I need!! Can ya see it now in the news, a fat lady breaks her ass bone from attempting to do pull ups, and breaks her door frame!!!
Anyways, I have decided to start small and try the p90! (not p90X) Its the video that came out before p90X with beachbody. We will see how it goes. I will weight myself in a week from now, and hopes that its at least 4 or 5 lbs lost. So I hope! I def. cannot wait to get outta the 2 HUNDO!!!

Ahhhhh...I did it....
7:24am - ok...well I did it. ..I cheated! I broke down and had a bowl of cereal. yup...I had cheerios with skim milk. and boyyyyy was it delicious. It was measured out...so I only had 3/4 a cup and a half cup of skim milk. On the box it says that its a serving size...(for who,toddlers?) geesh..it def. was not filling..thats for sure. but now..I am def going to have to stay on the treadmill longer than I did the day before. Ha! yeaaaaaah. about that.....I only stayed on it for 15 min. I have a lovely short video too..ill will post that with this blog entry. (I tried to upload it from my phone, not working so I will have to connect my phone to the comp. Next time I take a video, I will be sure to record it in lower resolution. I had recorded it on HD not realizing it)
So, yeah only 15 min. I honestly did not have the energy! i was feeling light headed...and it just was not pretty. so I decided on sit ups instead. lol
Yesterday, I did not get on the treadmill ... just looked at it...and thought about getting on it! Though, I did do a lot of dancing around the house, for a good 45 min. I danced while cooking...while cleaning...while feeding my toddler son. My two youngest were staring at me at first..like Momma has gone crazy! My 5 year old son says to me, "Mom, u dance?" i was like, "yeah...Momma use to dance all the time back in my day...I would drop it like it hot!" all while trying to drop to the ground and about blew out my knees trying to pop back up! !!! He stood there looking at me with confusion on his face while saying under his breath.."dropping like it's hot?" so...I just left it at that, but soon after..both boys were joining in with me....and dancing their lil butts off too! i didn't get video.. but I will next time...it was too cute! okay..gotta get my daughter to her bus stop...will update later!

I didn't get my bodybugg in today! I am so dissapointed! I am really looking fwd to using that thing. I was reading reviews on the Droid market of the app. for the BB. Not good reviews at all(as far as the app). Alot of complaints about it not connecting correctly with the phone, and always forclosing! I hope I do not run into that!

I also wanted to mention, I have decided to pass on the flax-seed oil, and just eat fiber one cereal dry (they look like lil worms! lol but not to horrible tasting)., and I have also decided to eat dried up prunes. I eat two of them day. They are individually wrapped, so it makes me feel like I am getting candy or something..I dunno...just in my head I guess. I did not like it at first (i was just wanting to results in eating them), but now that I have had some for 3 days....I have grown to acquire the taste.
I also wanted to mention an idea to those of you who drink soda, or feel like you have to have a carbonated drink for some reason (I was one of those people) Over a year ago, I stopped drinking soda. I slowly weened myself off, from Cola, to sprite, to 7up (never did diet drinks...) and now I just drink sparking water. A lot of people do not like it, because they are so use to their sweet tasting soda,(this is not sweet at all.. not sugar or FAKE sugars added) but if you are wanting to get OFF soda, I recommend La Croix Sparkling Water.Comes in many flavors (My fav is Berry) I am hooked on this sparkling water! I can only find it at Meijer and Kroger. (all the way at the bottom shelf where the water is) FYI, with the 17 day diet, my sparking water is NOT included in my 64 oz of daily water. which sucks...cause now I see me having only one of my La Croixs a day... blaaahh.... OKay...nighty night.

Waiting for my new friend.........
I am super excited! I went ahead and made the plunge and bought the BodyBuggSP! The biggest loser contestants wear them and I am a huge fan of the hit show The Biggest Loser, and I thought, "If I'm going to be working out, I gotta see the calories that I am burning." Its an instant gratification for me. First off, let me say, I HATE WORKING OUT. I did not work out at all last week when I lost the 5 lbs (I just played Just dance 2 with the kiddos) Other than that...my butt was on the floor playing with my 1 year old, or on the couch watching TV. I didn't have much energy at all.
This is a new week for me! I want to work out and be on the 17 day diet. Okay, so... since I do not have my BBSP(bodybuggSP) in yet (if you don't know what it is....google it...super cool!) I am just going to stick with walking the treadmill. (maybe do some crunches). once I get my BB I am hoping it will be addictive to me, to see how much calories I can burn in a day! :) It takes 3,500 calories to burn 1 pound of fat. How cool would that be....to even lose 7 or a lil more pounds a week! HECK YEA!! (I'm super excited, can't ya tell?)
Okay, off to bed. I gotta take my fur babies to the groomers tomorrow, work out in the morning, and go to whole foods store! I'll try to post tomorrow and let ya know how my work out went! (maybe I even do a video!)

7th Day!
YAAAAY! I have made it through week ONE! Ya know, the funny thing is..I was sitting here this morning on the couch...trying to figure out what day it was for me on the 17 day diet...and I kept thinking it was only my 5th day, but NOPE! Its beeen a week already! So, I hurry and put my green tea down and went to step on the scale. (I'll be honest with ya, I was a bit nervous, because I have NOT been working out, and I am about to start my period, so I was praying I would not see added digits rather than minus) But.....I lost weight! SURPRISINGLY...I lost 5 lbs! Soooo...I am super excited to see how much I lose after I am not longer on my period..plus adding working out to my diet! This definitely makes this pretty excited and motivated! ((SMILES!))I cannot wait to get out of the 2 HUNDO!! I have been in the 2HUNDO for almost 2 years! WHOO HOO!!! I WILL get to my goal weight! 150-155! I can see the SKINNYVILLE town lights ahead!!

I'm still going strong!
Well, its been 5 days today, and I am doing pretty darn good, if I should say so myself! I don't know how much weight I have lost (if any) but I am still following the book and eating what what I am suppose to. I do admit, I need to get up and moving more(im a SAHM), so tonight, I am going to put away my Christmas tree (Yes, Its still up...but I know I am not the only one with a tree still up...come on) and in replace of my tree, I am going to put my treadmill there. I have got to stay active, and I know that will also be the Key to losing this weight!
On this diet, I have noticed that I am HUNGRY a lot! Its getting better as the days go on, but the first 3 days... my belly was growling so loud, yet I felt like I was constantly eating.. Now that its my 5th day...its not so bad, but I still feel like I am eating a lot. My weekly food I bought at the beginning of this diet, is already running out..
About the green tea....I loooove drinking the green tea now! Its crazy, but I have learned to love it! I actually drink more than the minimum! It doesn't really have a flavor, but I get the fruit kind (no sugar is added) and you smell the fruit, but don't really taste it. Its nice. Blueberry is my fav!!!
You know, I was watching Dr. Phil today, and they were talking about the 17 day DIET, and I seen a lil clip where a woman had mentioned that there is a special section in the book that tells you how to still lose weight even when you are PMSing. I def. need to read that part now....cause its that time for me! (I know, TMI!) but I would hate to weight myself come Saturday, and see I have gained...or not lost.....HOW discouraging...right? I have to admit, it has been hard to NOT have chocolate...or sugar prior to be getting ready to start. I am one of those ladies that crave it like a pregnant woman craves pickles and ice cream! :) HA. I will drive to the store at 2 in the morning to get chocolate if its that time of the month for me....so me going through these cravings....and not being able to have chocolate, has been sooo hard. The other night, I was craving sugar so bad, that I found myself taking a lil nibble outta my baby sons arrow gerber graduate cookie, as I was feeding it to him. How pathetic is that? huh? OH, and I should mention, that to get over my craving, I ate a serving of peanut butter on a spoon. I LOOOOOVE peanut butter, and I thought,"well, its either cookies, or a serving of peanut butter." and I went with what I thought the best option was. (even though PB is not mentioned in the book as a item that I am allowed to eat) Peanut butter is HIGH protein...and cookies are high sugar and flour. I dont know if that is going to effect my weight-loss..but I went with what I thought was best.
I have to mention also, I miss milk. I normally drink skim milk, and nowhere in the book (in the first chapter) does it say I can have milk..so that's been hard!
Okay, so I am getting ready to mention some TMI here...but I did not buy flaxseed oil to cook with for this diet, and I am regretting it! ( i assume that its suppose to help with my "problem" and...I am drinking TONS TONS of water, but I'm still getting "PLUGGED UP" so it looks like I need to take a trip to the store to buy something that will HELP with that. UHhhggg!
Okay, well I am getting hungry again, so I guess I better eat something...

The Start, of my weightloss journey.
11am: Happy New Year! Today is the day that I began my new journey. I must say, when I woke up this morning, I was super excited to start my journey. I was definitely eager to try the green tea.( Dr. Mike recommends alot of green tea) anyways, I had the blue berry flavoured green tea with no sugar of course.. It wasn't so bad. I also had egg whites with a side of strawberries. (i would have had grape fruit, but I have yet to do my grocery shopping for this journey) and of course I have my water cup here that holds 24 oz .. Thats 3 servings of my 8 servings of water for the day. I definitely think that drinking the water isn't going to be hard at all.. We will see.
Oh! I also wanted to mention that I weighed myself this morning, and I am a lil lighter than what I was a week ago.. Which I have no idea how that happened.. Considering I was eating nothing but sugary junk! hummmmmm...I dunno.
During this journey, I am going to try to document as much as I can, from pictures, to daily entries. (I do all my updates, and pics on my droid x, so it makes it alot easier.) I hope by updating alot, it will help some of my readers out there that is hoping to lose weight. Okay, will update later!
9:44pm: I went grocery shopping.. Got all healthy stuff to eat! For lunch, I ate a tuna eggs white omelette. I used Mrs. Dash table blend with it.. Made it smell and taste like chicken. I had that with peach green tea. Oh, and for snack I had asparagus with Mrs. Dash table blend. Yeah..i know.. It doesn't sound very appetizing, but its all I had prior to grocery shopping. I have yet to have my yogurt... I'm suppose to have two servings a day of yogurt.. But I just got some... So only one will do for now. Im also suppose to have two servings a day of fruit.. But I'm not allowed to have fruit after 2:00PM For dinner, I had rotisserie chicken, steamed broccoli, with a coup of green tea of course. I also had a fat free sugar free yogurt 2 hours later. I WANT SUGAR! I can tell ya...this is NOT EASY..and hell..its only the first day!
2am: OKay, its 2am..and I really should be asleep, I know this...but I was up with the kids and hubby playing the game Just Dance 2 for wii.. ALOT of fun! and def. keeps ya moving! I cannot wait to play it tomorrow!! Oh, I MISS SUGAR! I cannot get that off my mind....So bad..I wanted to go in the kitchen, and have myself a big ol bowl of sugary cereal with lots of skim milk! I LOVE SKIM MILK! My hubby just had himself some chocolate with milk...HE's killing me! My two weekness.....Chocolate and MILK! ohhh...I have got to go shower and go to sleep. My head hurts sooo bad..and I stink from all the sweating from dancing...okay...night everybody.

(I do all my updates, and pics on my droid x, so it makes it alot easier.) I hope by updating alot, it will help some of my readers out there that is hoping to lose weight. Okay, will update later!
9:44pm: I went grocery shopping.. Got all healthy stuff to eat! For lunch, I ate a tuna eggs white omelette. I used Mrs. Dash table blend with it.. Made it smell and taste like chicken. I had that with peach green tea. Oh, and for snack I had asparagus with Mrs. Dash table blend. Yeah..i know.. It doesn't sound very appetizing, but its all I had prior to grocery shopping. I have yet to have my yogurt... I'm suppose to have two servings a day of yogurt.. But I just got some... So only one will do for now. Im also suppose to have two servings a day of fruit.. But I'm not allowed to have fruit after 2:00PM For dinner, I had rotisserie chicken, steamed broccoli, with a coup of green tea of course. I also had a fat free sugar free yogurt 2 hours later. I WANT SUGAR! I can tell ya...this is NOT EASY..and hell..its only the first day!
2am: OKay, its 2am..and I really should be asleep, I know this...but I was up with the kids and hubby playing the game Just Dance 2 for wii.. ALOT of fun! and def. keeps ya moving! I cannot wait to play it tomorrow!! Oh, I MISS SUGAR! I cannot get that off my mind....So bad..I wanted to go in the kitchen, and have myself a big ol bowl of sugary cereal with lots of skim milk! I LOVE SKIM MILK! My hubby just had himself some chocolate with milk...HE's killing me! My two weekness.....Chocolate and MILK! ohhh...I have got to go shower and go to sleep. My head hurts sooo bad..and I stink from all the sweating from dancing...okay...night everybody.
